SAVANNAH - Edmund Ed W. Robey, 94, passed away in the early morning of December 5, 2012 at The Oaks, a skilled nursing facility of The Marshes of Skidaway Island, in Savannah, Georgia. He was the loving husband of Antonia Toni M. Robey whom he deeply cherished throughout the 68 years of their married life, and who had been his active assistant all of his business life.

Ed was drafted in 1940. He was a Staff Sergeant when commissioned in 1942 as a 2nd Lt., Air Corps. Until discharged as a Captain in 1945, he travelled the AAF Material Command to assist contractors having personnel or labor problems causing delay of production and shipment of critical AAF equipment.

After service, he spent over 45 years doing consulting work for major employers at management levels in matters of productivity, costs, and relations in the training and development of management and supervisory personnel.

After his retirement, his desire was to contribute to the betterment of society by imparting the knowledge he had gained in his consulting work. Seminars were held at various colleges and Building Better Effectiveness, a training manual, was published. To date, over 1400 students have participated in the BBE programs.

Ed is survived by his beloved wife, Toni, his brother Clary and his family, his sister Dolly, and his brother Lee and his family.

Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. on Saturday December 15 at St. James Catholic Church with Pastor Father Mark Ross officiating.
